Job Function

Technical Services

Main Tasks

• Allocation/Purchase/Update of Tools
• Organization/Update of Technical Library
• Setting up of Technical Store Room
• Installation of VDRs
• Annual Servicing of VDRs
• Installation/servicing of all equipment supplied by One Net
• General Radio Operator for those who carry the GOC by the Department of Merchant of Shipping or have undergone the GMDSS training
• Purchase/prepare cabling
• Prepare relevant Technical Manuals/Paperwork/Bulletins (i.e. most up to date)
• Liaise with customer support group
• Complete paperwork in accordance with the requirements of the accounts department
• Contact customer within specified timeframe to ensure that the function of the equipment is up to the level of standard as stated in purchase agreement
• Complete and submit expenses claims as required by the accounts department.
• Write out full report and submit to HO all complaints regarding the service offering of the company irrespective of how the complaint was initiated
• Follow through with suggestions of improvement
• Site inspection if required
• Following satisfactory completion of servicing/installation, contact senior customer representative again
• Approval of the context of the Quality System and of the list of interested parties.
• Responsible for the approval of the risks and opportunities and of the action plans for their addressment of the various companies and departments.
• Approval of the Quality System changes and of the relevant change management actions.

Responsibilities for People and Equipment

• Responsible for equipment ONLY when in my physical possession
• Responsible for carrying out of installations and servicing assigned to Onetech
